Strange series of beeping

Unlike what happened with my Video Card, its not a long beep, but rather, a string of quieter beeping, that ends after 4-5 beeps.

The monitor remains blank, despite everything being plugged in.
Whats wrong?

What's the sequence? What motherboard do you have?

There is no specific sequence.
Its just
*Beeeeep*
*Beeeeep*
*Beeeeep*
*Beeeeep*
*Beeeeep*

And then it stops, and nothing happens.

Its a Dell Dimension 5150 stock motherboard.

I mean, is there any spacing? Or is it just one beep after another with no discernible difference in timing between then?

Theres a space between the beeps, like a second, and the beep lasts a second or two.

So each beep lasts a few seconds, and there's about a second between the beeps?

Also, the only new part I've installed recently was my Video Card, which worked fine for a few days. I've also tried returning to the stock video card, but experienced the same problem.


EDIT: I found out that someone in my household recently updated the BIOS....
