AND moving to one of the new harpertown boxes! Hheheheh got you guys' attention didnt I? This is a move thats been in the planning stage for quite some time now, with the new harpertown's up and running we will begin to bring down the original "old" TF2 servers.
Thats where you guys come in......
Dustbowl #2 will be removed and Warpath will be put up in its place. So warpath (the new one) and Turbine #2 will be the NEW servers after closing the old ones. I know this might be confusing to some but its quite simple actually, for about 2 weeks we will keep both warpath and turbine servers open. We will also change the adverts in game in the OLD servers to say "this server is shutting down at the end of august, join the new server already up at xxx.xx.xxx.xx" . With about 1 to 2 weeks left before the shutdown deadline (august 27th) we will LOCK the old servers and change their names to MOVING TO XXX.XXX.XX.XXX.
I also would like ALL regular players of those servers to know we are moving and thats where the community comes into play. We need all resources (you guys playing in servers) to be put into the NEW turbine and warpath servers. Make sure to tell everyone on your friends list WARPATHIANS that you guys are getting a shiney new server that runs even better than the one now.
This move will save edgegamers over 100 dollars a month so its pretty important. This is a move to become more efficient with the money donated by the community, we are stretching it as much as we can guys. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure to tell everyone that you play with ESPECIALLY public players that we are moving to a new ip. We will post more about it soon, but we want to keep you guys informed about whats going on so there is no panic that we are getting rid of turbine or the warpath maps.
Lets make this a smooth transition guys!
