They are the EXACT same card. Nvidia has even given partners the go-ahead to flash their 8800GT cards to the 9800GT BIOS and sell them as "real" 9800GTs. Either way, it's total bull crap.

Exact same card, in every way.

Srsly, what advantages does OGL 2.1 have over 2.0? Umm, none.

I think I detected some sarcasm, but I'm not positive.

I'm pretty sure there will be/is a way to flash your 8800GT, but I don't think there would be a reason to.

Huh, here's another one actually. About the only difference is support for hybridpower, which is really only useful if you have a 750a or 780a motherboard.

Crazy...And you know what, even the 8800GTX's are better than 9800GTX's; a whole 256mb better. Double check your cards guys...if it satisfies your needs then don't worry about a new one. Its pretty packaging around old material.
