Now the question really is... does he buy them cause he's obsessed or because he reviews then and has created a name for him self enough for companies to send him stuff?

Review sites get free crap like that all the time as long as they can prove they have the viewer base that would justify sending them stuff to review.

Kodiak hit it spot on.

You have to blow a few wads to get your name out first (that sounds odd...), but when your name is recognized, you'll get a LOT of attention which = free stuff.
