Airsoft!

Why do they cost so much?

They don't all cost a lot. But 99% of the time, you get what you pay for.

I'm actually extremely interested in getting a new, $70 shotgun, that from what I hear, performs wonderfully. I know of a few people who play with about $40 guns and haven't had any problems.

And S0n3c, you are spreading pure lies.

Do not only buy into FPS, FPS means nothing without a decent gun with decent hopup. How are you going to "punish" your enemy, with 350 FPS, if you can't hit the person, accuracy>FPS. 280+FPS is fine. JGs shoot anywhere from 330-400 out of the box, so no need to worry there.

Ok first off they aren't "lies" they're "opinions".

And secondly I still disagree. Whenever I'm hit with light or heavy BBs from a gun that shoots less than 300 FPS all they do is give me a love tap. Maybe you're used to playing in buildings, (which is fun if your parents don't mind) I don't know. But out in a yard or paintball course you can't afford to lob lead people that much. I still think 300 FPS is a must. I will admit, however, that 350 is probably too much unless you're really hard core. :p

Semi at 350 will NEVER beat Auto (a decent auto) at 250FPS, as long as the person wielding the 250 isn't a complete moron...

..and said Auto-wielder was within 10 feet of said Semi-wielder. But I just don't see it happening, i'm sorry.

I'm sorry if I got a bit riled up, but people who act like they know things, when they have limited knowledge kinda erks me.

Hello? *bonk* Mcfly?

I heard someone mention using a revolver

I got one from UHC or UHF, dont remember the companies name, but fully gasses and using the recommend weight and high quality bbs, couldnt hit a target 10 feet away accurately. I was able to hit shot on shot with my spring back up.

However, nothing beat dropping the 6 metal shell casings and putting more in, took a while and had to pick them up, but it sucked having 6 shots vs. a 25 extended clip full auto glock lol

Haha sounds disappointing. I only mentioned the revolver for the style aspect of it. Like you said it's hard to match the feeling of dropping out the shell casings and then reloading them. Though it sounds like it wouldn't be worth the price for one. Glad I decided against getting one.

EDIT: I forgot to mention one other place that sounds pretty hardcore. Some place called RedWolf Airsoft. I've never bought from them, but they not only sell brand names, but they also custom make. However, be prepared to pay for it though. I've seen some of the airsoft rifles running in prices matching or surpassing their real life counterparts.

If only I had enough money for a gas 6 round semi auto grenade launcher and 18 120 round grenades...
