I've been tooling around with this for awhile now, an I think I'm about ready to go public with it..
Some of you, though not many, know that I'm a bit of a hobbist musician. I use a variety of tools and software programs and basically just pretend I know what I'm doing when I throw a whole bunch of random sounds somewhere, and then run wild with it...
Anyway. Ages ago, before souce and when DoD was still a fairly new mod for the old HL engine, I'd extrapolated a variety of its core sound effects, gun fire, riccochet noise, capture sounds and so on, and decided that I'd compile them into a song...
Well I got sidetracked, for...you know, a few years..until I started playing with the folks here at eGO.
I've been going back to work on it pretty heavily since then, an I just wanted to let folks know that it's almost done, and that I'd like to dedicate the piece to the folks here at Edge Gamers, since without them, I probably never would have finished it.
If it's well recieved, I may do one for all the other games as well.
In any event, there it is, my annoucement.
