Recommend a Graphics Card

Dye - the price difference between the 8600 and the 8800 is HUGE. If the 8600GTS sucks, I'll return it and plop down the extra $100 for an 8800.
My concern is that with an AMD 64 3700 aka 2.21GHZ Processor I'll be limited by that before the graphics card. If that makes sense. Plus I'm getting an extra gig of ram just for good measure.

my fps with my card (7900 gt) i get average 60 fps on full settings on 1280 x 1024 resolution

same same rogue. but I dip during every firefight to around 30...often much lower.
dude wait a few more months and you will be happy you did. wait until direct x10 cards are perfected and cheaper. it will happen sooner than u think. it ALWAYS does. I bought duelcore, a few months later my processor dropped 250 dollars....

Get more ram first and foremost,i'd get the 7900 series since the 8600 series sucks badly.

I'm using the ATI - Radeon X1650 with on board 512 memory and the 3d whatcha-ma-call-it, and some fancy shmancy, thinga-majiggers that have all kinds of bells and whistles so that your monitor thingy will make pretty colors and lights blink and stuff.
