i finally got one of these on the steam chat, and thought ill just play dumb and go along, to bad he left before i was able to put something funny down :(

yea theres bound to be people who fall for that despite the never give your acc info to anyone thing on each chat window. some people are just gullible and people like the guy who tried to get your info is are terrible people. i hope steam hunts them down with a rusty knife and backstab em all.

Sir/Maddam, Your STEAM account has been used in many separate locations, this is most likely a glitch. There are steps to fixing this here: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU[/ame] STEAM is currently using YouTube because of a slight budget cut disallowing us to use our own video systems. Thank you for complying with this problem.

Dear Sir/Madam

Several of our clients have sent complaints to our team here at Icarus Law. As you may or may not be aware, we are considered to be one of the world's top law firms to specialise in internet fraud, and online theft. This e-mail has been sent to this e-mail address as one of our team has managed to link this e-mail address to the Steam account "VACStaff". This account has been used to impersonate employees of the Valve Corporation to obtain personal information/account details from other users, in an attempt to steal accounts, which are, as we are to understand, connected to all Steam games that the user has purchased. Attempting to steal these accounts by gaining access to them and changing the details is theft. This is illegal under any country's law, and as a multi-national law firm, we have the capabilities to take you to whichever court is most convenient to you. This is a cease and desist letter. If we receive any more complaints from our clients, we will take swift action to have you personally charged for all reports we have received. The few accounts you have actually obtained must be returned as soon as humanly possible, by resetting the passwords and sending messages to the e-mail addresses you received, apologising, and telling them they now have full access to their accounts again.

We hope you understand that this is unacceptable behavior, and necessary precautions will be taken to assure that you do not attempt this again. We are now in contact with the Valve Corporation to have your Steam account and e-mail address banned from using the service, as a precaution for the rest of their clients. Valve have confirmed that they are willing to co-operate in the swift removal of attempted fraudulent behavior, successful or not, and have asked us to forward your email address and Steam ID.

Thanks Rellikpd, been waiting to send another e-mail like that for a while :p, last time was to get my mum a refund at a dodgy hotel she stayed in :P
