Rocket Class "Weopen Switch"

Hey guys!

I just like to notify anyone that plays DOD:S. When your in the rocket class, do not use the keypad "2" to switch your weapon to the Carbine or the Fast fire pistol (forgot the name of the gun, sorry). There is a glitch in the game that sometimes when you try to quickly switch your weapon you end up with the default team pistol. I just like to tell people that (if you don't know already) before they end up in a 1 on 1... battle against your opponent.

Only way to get to the carbon or the German c96 is by mouse wheel only. Hitting the number 2 will only bring out your pistol

yes, as choc said.

Using the keyboard number "2" will get u pistol.
using the mouse wheel = carbine

i was however unaware the glitch was with the c92 aswell

i only use the bazooka if i'm the rocket class
I don't like the other weapons so it never happens to me

i've checkd it today it's kinda funny.
I think it's not a bug it's just that valve forgot to put a little picture for the gun.

yeahh, i didn't even notice this until someone pointed it out
as i normally use the scroll to switch weapons anyways

Its a mod EGO used for all the maps.. Thats y its a bit funky; but the way they set it up it looks like the mod was about to go live
(going on a non ego server and look at the numbers given to each weapon in each class to see what iam saying)

Question, can this be used as a cheat when you run out of ammo on your intended 2ndary?

Well befor patch only the sniper and mg had a pistol now every class has one.
But the rocketman now has two secondary weapons they can use.. I would not call it a cheat but a good rocketman could use the pistol to his advantage(have yet to meet one )

I was wondering about this, and this thread seems like a good place to ask...any particular reason why every class gets pistol?

It sort of imbalances the classes, makes support/rifleman a lot better.

Also, if you guys are playing in your servers regularly, then play a clan match against another clan, you might cop some deaths because you try to switch to a pistol that isnt there...seems like something you wouldnt want to get used to.

to bad we dont do any clan to clan matches, and also, i dont think it makes the rifle/support any better. i rarely see anyone even use the pistol when they are rifle. i think its pretty cool to have the pistol though

and it doesnt change anything for me when i play on severs that dont have that mod. im sure a lot of people are like that too.

on flash i get regularly pwnt by Razielles pistol when he is playing rifleman

ya its an eGO server mod. but i like it, cuz many a times i've run out of rocket and carbine ammo, and the pistol has bailed me out. thanks eGO!
