Ok. I seriously think that we (EdgeGamers), should consider creating a team, or teams to compete in tournaments and competitions.
Anyone agree?

there was a post about it earlier, its not gonna happen, not with teams anyways but small scrims yes, just no teams and team names and stuff

ive heard it wont hapen from a lot of people.

Ok. so youre basically telling me that the council is somewhat lazy?
i understand to the fullest extent that eG0 stands for fun gaming in the community, but.....we could make it work....we have over 4500 members and a lot of willing people to go and rep eG0 in the gaming world.

The Council just doesn't wanna be involved with that. Edge Gamers isn't a competitive clan. Its been discussed a million times, its not gonna happen. If you want to join a different clan that plays competitively, you're welcome to do so, just don't represent eGO while doing it.

yeah,what he said, and besides we already have a bunch of great events, so its not such a big deal that this tournament thing wont happen

Thats exactly the problem: "we have over 4500 members" We've got too many players to chose from. It'd be a nightmare trying to co-ordinate tryouts. And even if 100 players are willing, how do you narrow that down to...whats the usual number? 6/8 per side? Having 6/8 representing us would also segregate the Community, and the last thing we want is to deal with a bunch of players who think they're better than everone else at Edge just because they're playing at a 'competitive' level.

This would not work due to people wanting to create tags and so on.
It would wind up creating problems. We have been down this road before and we are not willing to travel it again.
