i just bought call of duty 4, and played the single player.
it was incredible. i've only gotten to the third mission, but the gameplay is just awesome. after dying a few times in a certain part, i decided to take a break, and go to multiplayer. i searched for the eGO server, and when i found it there was one person playing. where is everyone? is there less people in eGO over in Cod 4? or am i just playing at an odd time? i guess i'm just used to DOD:S where donner is almost always full.

just curious. :)

Our Hardcore Tactical server (the only place to play, for me) just launched two weeks ago or so, so it is slowly picking up. There is no banner on the main page for it yet, unfortunately. Once there is, it will help.

Here is the info for the HC Tac Server. That is where I recommend playing for a more realistic experience.

The server is busier nowadays, now that it has caught on a bit. It is usually empty in during the 2am to 10am period (PST), but picks up in the late morning/afternoon and then evening and night even more normally.

I've been thinking about reinstalling CoD4 and jumping into the eGO server. I bought the game when it was first released, and I already went red tiger on about half of the weapons.

My only question is how strictly is the "tactical" rule enforced? I was never the type of player that just ran around shooting from the hip, but if I turned a corner and found myself at point blank range of an enemy player I never bothered to go for the sights.

Then again most of the time that happened it was time to have fun with the knife.

The rule is that you must ALWAYS use your sights, UNLESS you are surprised (run right into them, etc. as you described).

Hardcore servers are the best.
I'm in the TF2 division of EGO but I could stop by and play with you guys sometime.

question... i find cod4 a bit to easy for me, so when i used to play it, i limited myself to a deagle and knife... would i still have to use the sights on the deagle if i come play? cause the main thing about it is the mobility =o

a bit easy for you.. interesting.
I'm interested to see someone play who finds the game easy.

i havent played since i got my new comp, but before when i played on hardcore servers i pulled 60-5 scores with the mp5, could be a bit rusty right now XD

Really wondering if i should buy the game or not

hmmmm....

Honestly, i have it on xbox360 (Huge ammount of players, immature, but it's there)...

I really liked the multiplayer, but after awhile it comes down to a total frag fest unless you play hardcore....

I think im about to get into DOD:S .. i was a big time dod player back in the day.. i wanna go back i think.

yeah guys if you own CoD4 you should join our division even if you don't play much. the CoD4 division has a lot fewer active members than the other divisions so it's always kinda exciting when we get other people to come play with us ^_^.
