And I'm sorry Mrs Peirce, I did not intend for your thread to go off topic, at least not on such an epic scale. Gotta admit though, it is pretty funny.

Dan im sorry im not ending this thread but i have actual useful advice. You dont have to buy a whole set of weights. if you are looking for dumbells just get like a 25 pounder. The amount of reps is a lot more important than amount of weight.

Work your way up from 10 lifts the first week, to 15 the second week. pretty soon you will find yourself doing 70 lifts easy.

I dumbell pressed 100 lb dumbells earlier this year. Since a lot of times I don't have a spotter I prefer dumbells over bench press. If you are having trouble you can just drop them. With bench you don't have that option.
