Native Resolution Problem

Well I woke up this morning and my resolution was on 800x600 so I thought I'd just go into my display settings and set it back to 1400x1050 but its not even an option for a resolution anymore. I have the monitor at 1280x1024. It bugs me a lot because obviously its not the right resolution so it's just not right. I've tried everything I could think of and that consisted of:

Re install video drivers - didn't work
looking in BIOS - everything looked fine
messed around in device manager - nothing
looked all over catalyst control center for something - nothing

Does anyone have any suggestions? This is really bugging me and I don't like it.
When I get home from this LAN I'm going to try a DVI cable that I have at home. Maybe that will do something. :o
 
Mine does the same thing every now and then. I usually restart and it works. Seems yours if more of a problem then a fluke error. I don't know what causes that.
 
one thing you didn't mention that you checked was the driver for your monitor. Try reinstalling it to see if it helps.
 
Well Im back from the LAN and would'nt you know it? 1400x1050 is an option again :eek: Guess it was just one of those fluke things. Never happened before.
