Favorite RTS Game

Naw i loved protoss to death especially when you could just combine the templars to make the mind controlling blue thing, one guy could wipe out an entire base. But zerg was awesome for offense since they were so easy to build up and fun to watch kill people

Definitely Starcraft. With 9.5 million copies sold, it's the best selling RTS ever, and is practically an international sport in Korea.

When Starcraft 2 is released, I'm sure it'll break records too.

Edit: Warcraft 3 only sold 4 million copies.. so Starcraft is statistically better, having more then double the amount of sales compared to WC3.

Starcraft takes it i think. Though the CnC series is definately epic.

Albeit DOTA is still the best RTS mod ever.

the first ever game i played on a PC (not including pongish games back in 1985) was starcraft.

my current RTS im playing is Sins of a Solar Empire. Starcraft meets Homeworld

Yeah, you forgot to include Total Annihilation, I loved it when if first came out back in '97 or '98

(I like Starcraft too, I still have a sealed copy of SC Battle chest)

Age of empires 2 is a classic that I keep coming back to.


The red alert series is just amazing


but for HUGE fights and strategic battles, Supreme Commander owns all


For tactical, Im torn between World in Conflict and CoH




tactical= small battles more based on units flanking units

strategic= tons of units flanking companies of units and bases

It came down to Starcraft and Warcraft.

I played Starcraft way more, but in the end I'm going to have to pick Warcraft just because of the heros.

Plus... I love Footman Frenzy, still play it to this day =P




The best NEW rts is Sins of a Solar Empire
