the only prob i have is with the creative card and thats creatives fault. everything else is amazing.
not according to microsoft.
i thnk my ram gets a 5.2 because i first only installed the 4 gigs. would it not update it though? it saise 8190mb of ram in specks. this seems od that u guys have a 5.9 for ram when i have better ram at 5.2
Its based on the performance of the component not necessarily how much of something it has. For instance you can have a 500GB SATA 2 7200rpm hard drive but score higher w/ a 150GB SATA 10,000 RPM raptor. Same for memory, you can have 2GB of DDR3 1600 and beat 8GB of DDR2 667.

well i thought the gskill ddr2 was good ram. in sharkies forums they told me it was good stuff. and ya i have a rapor 150 and seagate 750. one for performace one for storage. still think my ram is good though. i did overkill it though with 8gigs since i dot use it as a server.
He is probably running pc6400 @ 800mhz
My reapers run at 1066 with 4gb's and i get a 5.9
....
Maybe run memtest on your modules.... See how that fairs ?

does windows have memtest or do i need to download it? and ya it is 2Gx4|GSK F2-6400CL4D 800mhz. even in game with high res skins it never goes over 20% ram usige so i guess it doesnt matter but i dont like it being a 5.2 lol. just a crazy guy who built something and likes it to say you win! its a great machine!
he doesnt get 6 its a scale from 1 to 5.9. dont believe everything u read

thanks for the info. i had to go in the garage to check the boxes and i couldnt believe i bought 800mhz. mustv been some reason though because i spent 2 weeks on sharkies going over my partslists with everyone. i think there something about the timing though or the clock? im new at building comps but this machine is awesome.

MOBO: XFX nForce 780i 3-Way SLI
CPU: Q6600 OCed to 3.12Ghz
RAM: (2) 2GB DDR2 corsair (4GB Total)
VIDEO: XFX 8800GTS 512MB
HDD: (2) Raptor 150GB RAID 0, (1) 750GB Seagate
SOUND: on-board
MONITOR: 22-inch NEC
Ordered it all while I was in Iraq on Newegg.com right before I got back. Used my re-enlistment bonus
Was all together around $1500ish with case, PSU, and dvdrom
