Hey all,

I was wondering how many members of EgO recently got their Exam results, and what they got :)

Heres mine:

Scottish Standard Grade:

English: 2
Maths: 2
Music: 2
Computing: 1
Graphics Comm: 4
Religious Studies: 2
Physics: 2
Chemestry: 2

For those of you who dont understand the scottish grading system heres how it works:

Inside standard grade there are 3 levels, of Achievement: Credit, General, foundation, with credit being the best, and foundation being the worse. Now within these levels are the grades 1-7 Again 1 being the best 7 Being the worst. How you get your levels works like this: Grade 1 or 2 = Credit, Grades 3 and 4 = General, and Grades 5 and 6 = foundation, and grade 7 = YOU FAIL HORRIBLY!! :P.

If you STILL dont understand ;) these grades are equal to these in the english system:

1 and 2 = A
3 and 4 = B
5 and 6 = C
7 = D

Well, thanks for reading all, and hope to see some other results on here :)

Edit: sorry if this was supposed to be in Off-topic :s

I'm just going into Grade 12 this year, and my average last semester was 91%. My average for the year was 87% (damn you first semester!).

Essentially, A+ last semester, A for the whole year.

1 and 2 = A
3 and 4 = B
5 and 6 = C
7 = D

I was always told 7 was "That's not an exam, thats a drawing of a flower"

I got:

Higher Computing: D (Teacher messed up the course I was taught)
Int 2 Business Management: A
Int 2 Maths: A
Int 2 English: C
Int 2 History: C

Good grades though, dude, owned the crap out of my Standard Grades :p

Computing: 1
English, History, French, Admin: 2
Maths, Physics: 3

also did Music but I was the first person in school history to have my exam ripped up for having a phone go off in exam :D

Next year I'll be taking:
Higher Computing
Higher Maths
Higher English
Higher Modern Studies, probably
Int 2 Music

How about you? judging by your results I'd assume you're going for five highers in fifth year? If you are you're out of your mind tbh dude :p

Heh nice :P

I'm taking Higher Computing, Maths, English, Religious Studies, Music

dude Higher English is a huge chore, just so you know, my friends only passed it last year by throwing an extreme amount of out-of-school time into it. Dunno why I'm taking it to be perfectly honest :p

I know,

Right now I'm writing an Essay on the godfather >.>

and we've barely started the course!

this years gonna be fun >.>

Personal Study is annoying as hell, I know, although I generally go to town on the imaginative aspect. Although theres only one imaginative essay required in the whole year, so I wrote about toast pirates in space :D

Close Reading and Textual Analysis are the same damn thing though, don't see a point in them being seperate.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, where in Scotland you from? :p

From Dundee myself, and I don't mind saying, it's an awful city :)

Yeah I know, I have close reading/textual analysis :(

and I'm from Edinburgh myself.. + dont say that :( I'm hoping to go to a university in Dundee!

Haha, Abertay? Good Uni, planning on going there myself for Games Design :P

As long as you avoid Douglas and Kirkton you'd be fine dude :p If you walk through Douglas without a good punching arm or a group you'll lose your phone or wallet, if you go through Kirkton you'll leave naked.

Hahaha, sounds..safe >.>

And yeah Abertay! I'm wanting to do the Game Programming course :P

Been planning to go for years..Who knows maybe i'll see ya :o

Lmao, maybe, and if this year goes as bad as last year for exams, I'll be serving you food :)

lmao, same to you, enjoy your Highers :p may I suggest making a time machine so you can do 40 hours of revision a day + school? :p

FCAT...*shudders* That needs to go. I mean, I did great on it all the time throughout school (5 in Math, 4 in Reading, 1-5 scale with 5 being best), but it is almost irrelevant with what teachers teach and when March rolls around, it's ALL they teach, and it's like they are speaking pig latin.

Congrats on your grades, though. :)
