Alphasnake, honestly if you don't have the money right now I wouldn't seriously worry about piecing together a computer. Four months from now the top of the line gpu's/ cpu's/ motherboards etc will be half the price as the are now and you'll be playing with a whole new list. Technology these days is moving faster and faster, and the software has been lagging for sometime.

It's fun to plan and dream at this point, but actually piecing together a list for next year isn't worth the time to worry about.

yes thats good enough to play everything except crysis on max haha. but seriously make sure the rest of your computer is up to par with your gpu before upgrading;

5star you seriously have to be sure that you are going to buy a computer and make sure that you have the income to do so, please do not post a thread on buying a computer if you are not certain about it. As i said it costs a lot of money to build a new computer and it is no joking matter, so please just make sure that you are certain to buy one, if not i suggest you saving up money....

Hey 5 star I would not recommend on buying parts for your computer if you have no past experience, or a friend who can do it for you. It seems that you have no experience building computers, therefor i Would recommend building on velocitymicro, or a site like it. It also seems that you don't have any money, so there really isn't a post for this thread. As, in 3 years, the prices will go down greatly on these parts. Also why build a computer in 3 years, but ask for help now?

This is a good one that will handle the above card with ease. It will also leave a little room for upgrading to a better GPU, and after the MIR it is going to be about the cheapest you'll find at this quality.

So the total for these would be ~$140 before tax and shipping (after MIR), but it will certainly be powerful enough to handle COD4 and any other new games (if your CPU doesn't bottleneck it).

What ever u do dont buy a gaming computer. if u pm me when u have the time and money ill help u pick parts and walk u threw the build. if u get an evga mother board then egva has a phenominal tech support and they will help u do everything since it all interacts with the mobo. another thing is sharkies forums has everything could ever want to know about buildimg comps. but do not, i repeat do NOT get ripped off by buying a gaming pc.

hey 5 star, the reason ur search failed is because you didnt put enough information in the search bar. like since the 8600 is nvidia area, you need to put either nvidia 8600, nvidia geforce 8600, or geforce 8600 (any of those will do).

also 5 star, i looked at the link that you gave & newegg is very picky about their searches. nvidia does their video cards this way= its 8600 gt, not 8600gt (theres always a space between the # & the letters) so thats why you couldnt pull anything up. if you simply use the drop-down menu where it says computer hardware on the left side & scroll down to video cards, then to the left side of the screen, itll help you find what you're looking for.
