Have any of you seen this MOD for Half Life2? It appears to be TFC that runs on the Source engine:

Fortress Forever is a Team Fortress mod for Half-life 2's Source Engine. Our independent team has created this mod entirely from scratch.

Fortress Forever should please those who have stuck with or been a part Half-life: TFC over the years while at the same time doing more for new TF players than any prior Fortress attempt.

Maybe we could play this MOD for some of our scrims? I have not downloaded it yet but I played the original TFC and LOVED it.

I play it every now and then for some variety. It is essentially TFC running on the source engine with some gameplay balance tweaks. It looks fantastic, and plays fairly well... but there is a major flaw in the game - no one is really playing it. At any given time there are 2 or so public servers with anyone playing. It really is a shame because it brings back some fond nostalgic memories, and I would love to play hunted with a great team!

I thought it was pretty neat, but hardly anyone plays, and I can normally find only two to three servers with people in them that aren't locked.

That is a great game. They try to keep it the same like tfc, but with a little changes. It was created by a team of players who used to play tfc.

if by TF1 you mean the quake-tf (ie: the ORRIGINAL) then i'd guess yes, i haven't checked it since TF2 came out, but i know that (less than) a year ago they were.
if you mean TFC, then who cares. i hate that thing

Anyway, I'm a FF fan.
I don't play it nearly as much anymore but I still love it.
There will be a update soon... More people will play it then probably because FF is available in the Mod Section of the Steam store then!
I hope it gets popular, europe has like one server with 10 people on it....
