If so, what do they do?

The guy that lives across from me drives me nuts. It all started when he bought a wooded lot across the street 6 years ago. He cleared the land, had a prefabricated house put up and a building for his business. The guy owns a logging business so he has the big logging trucks that leave early in the morning and return later in the evening. I suppose I can't fault the guy too much for doing that, right?

Over a year ago, his wife left him for good. From what people have told me, he's a very paranoid man. So all day long from like 6AM-10PM he takes off in his big loud V8 diesel pickup truck or Harley-Davidson, drives a few blocks down to where his wife lives and comes right back like 2 minutes later.

His driveway is very long because it leads back to his logging garage so when he does pull back in his driveway he guns it all the way down his driveway, turns around and leaves again to do another drive-by. This guy does this probably 20x a time, I'm not even exaggerating so imagine how much noise he makes revving his trucks and motorcycle when he goes flying in and out of there.
 
Our next door neighbors drove thru the neighborhood and the drainage pond illegally on 4-wheelers for 3 years, and every year shot fireworks at our house.

He'd do it all night. At one point we had to go yell at him because he was allowing his 8 year old boy to do wheelies and take off like he's training to be a stunt driver from his hill unto our yard (Obviously the fool would sue us if the kid died, and it would be on our yard)

Police wouldn't do anything.

Well, now the economy has gone downhill, the guy wasted all his money being stupid and harrassing people, and now doesn't run a/c, lighting, anything. Doesn't drive, nothing. While we run lights all night (Outside) since we have solar powered lights for when power goes out, and led e27 home lights for everything else.

My neighbors arent annoying....its their dog. We open a windows it starts barking, and continues for like 10 minutes. We open the back door, barking. Sneeze, you guessed it.(that one is a joke).
 
Wow, I can't even compare to that, but here's my story of woe.

My neighbours' parents have nine children. That's right, NINE CHILDREN. They're all running around on our court, playing road hockey, jump rope, tennis and baseball at the same time. They have to put up a sign, "Children at Play" just so people don't accidentally run over them.

Oh, that, and the guy across the street also has about 3 motorcycles, and always throws parties, causing about 20 other people (WITH MOTORCYCLES) to come onto our small court.

The sounds of TF2 and What is Love are just barely enough to tune out the sounds of revving engines and children crying.
 
There must be a city ordinance about the noise. Or speeding on his driveway. Call the cops on him.
 
Whats also good about our neighbors is this.

We live in metro Atlanta, in a neighborhood that's kinda 30% hicks, 40% people who care about the environment, and 30% who don't care either way.

The neighbor would call friends down the road to harrass us when we got mad at his antics.

This year though, since we've put in the solar powered emergency outside lights, we've had 4 times where power has been out for at least an hour. The whole block was out even.

All the neighbors knew which place to turn in because we're the first house on the block and we've got all those lights.

Since that's been going on, people have generally respected us in the neighborhood, and our neighbors friends... aren't friends much anymore.
 
well my neighbors never let us do anything at all an i mean they came over the other day and told us to stop watching your tv to load and the tv wasnt EVEN ON,
that realy did my head in and eveytime we have a party or family get to gether they come round saying its to load and moan moan moan, i remeber one time they call he cops on us, i thought that went to far so next time he askes me to turn my music-tv down am going to turn it up the old *beep*
i hate people that moan at you all the time

I have one very annoying neighbor. Shortly after my fiancee and I moved here they were having a party across the street on a Wednesday night. I am not one to complain as I did my fair share of partying in college and I still do as I just recently graduated. This party went on till 3 or 4 in the morning. Around midnight I went over and asked him to politely turn the music down I have to be in the office at 7 am. To no avail he did not comply.

The next night while he was sleeping I rolled my street bike out into the driveway. At the time i had a Special Edition GSX-R. Anyway at about 3AM in the morning I proceeded to start it up. This thing was loud. You can here it a couple miles away. So I sat there in the drive and revved and revved. About 2 minutes later my neighbors light turns on, then a couple seconds later the neighbor across the street who had the party comes running out his front door yelling. I had gotten my revenge waking his but up so I took off for a quick ride since it was such a beautiful night out.
 
Our neighbors are alright, for us it's the annoying (wild) animals living in the woods around us. We have flower gardens, vegetable gardens, fruit trees; really, just a nice country yard. The animals, mostly the deer, treat our yard like their own personal salad bar. We put a small fence around the strawberries to keep the rabbits out; did you know they can dig? :confused: We tried sprinkling cayenne pepper on the plants to keep the deer from eating them; apparently, our deer enjoy spicy food. :( And don?t get me started on the squirrels; with all due respect, squirrels are just rats with bushy tails and good PR people. :mad:
 
I never talk to my neighbours, or maybe once every month. They are older people and usually stay inside.
 
I live in a neighborhood surrounded by Border Patrol agents, Police Officers, Customs and Government workers... any problem like that gets solved almost instantly.

Last month some neighbors bought two new bikes and started using our street as a racing arena, kinda, this is a 30 MPH zone, there are kids playing on the street .... well I told my neighbor who is a Border Patrol agent (2 daughters) and he told hid buddy a cop (1 son), next day they catch one of the guys speeding, I don't know what they told him but ever since that happened this has been a quiet neighborhood again.
 
I live in a town of undergraduate students, right across the street are two houses that party three nights a week until four in the morning. It's loud, obnoxious and idiotic, the sound of beer bottles being thrown into the street will usually last until about 6...luckily...I'm moving, tomorrow. :)

The cops do nothing, We call and they don't come, they don't want the town's income jeopardized by alienating the student body.
