Lately I have noticed a string of horrible thread titles. Not to pick on anyone in particular but the following titles are very bad and don't help people know what the thread is about: "breaking news", "photos", "Steam", "Problem...", "hey", "Epic win", "Ownage", etc.

Please for the benefit of readers that may or may not want to read your thread, use a descriptive title for every one of your threads.

Dude theres about three new threads a day and it takes about five seconds to get the gist of any thread.

Yeah, I agree with Chris.

There's a few forums around that give you a temp ban if you use undescriptive thread titles.

i don't mind "vague" thread titles. but completely pointless/confusing/WRONG titles are annoying

But it is a problem. I don't look at a thread once. I look at a thread and if I like the topic, I like to come back and see what other responses have been made. Unfortunately, that's difficult when there are so many threads with worthless titles.

Seriously, how hard is it to spend a moment to put a title that actually describes what the thread is about? If the thread isn't worth a decent title, then throw what you have in the ShoutBox and not into a thread.

I don't want to ban anyone or scold anyone. All I want is for thread posters to realize that thread titles are important to some people, not hard to do decently, and can make a difference on whether people will bother to look at your thread.

I am with Chriss on this one, if the title isnt interesting then I move on down the list.

I look at almost every thread so it dont bother me much either..... but anywho, you could just keep ur mouse over the thread and read the first sentence instead and thread the intro to the post.
