Crysis is not realistic? It's actually closer to reality then you think.

So I was looking up on the soldier tech for 2020 (Look up future warrior 2020 and 2010).

I found this:

Anyone find those powers similiar to Crysis?

Looks like all we need to kick some alien booty is a portable power supply and cloak mode perfected...

Here's a picture of future warrior 2010.

Obviously Ghost Recond Advanced Warfighter is based off that, but I had no idea Crysis was based off future Warrior 2020.

50 Years ago they thought by now we'd have time travel and teleportation down... But those suits look amazing!

we already use robots now to do alot of our fighting so im leaning more towards AI systems that will do the killing then actual humans.

once people stop dying in war, it won't be war... and war = money, so the government(s) won't have that. Don't worry, we'll get to die in war for a long time :">

only way that would ever change is a global government, and good luck with that one.

Neat. The nanotechnology still sounds like science fiction, but this makes it sounds like that isn't too far off.

Heres the funny part. What technology you see used in todays world, is already 20 years old. The military and government agencies release tech to the world for use every 20 years, so by now they have tech 20 years ahead of what is on the market.

The whole premise of the Terminator movies seem like a reality in the future with all the AI advances. And The Matrix. They will decide that letting us puny humans controlling them is not logical.

The battle suit seems fake-ish. But I've seen many episodes of different television shows and specials document the development of the "Land Warrior System" so far it looks fantastic.

EDIT: Land Warrior thing is the second picture.

That's all well and nice.. but the COST of these things are not suited for modern warfare..

The human life, terribly, is not worth that much money to the government to outfit every one like that..

Sad but it's the truth of capitalism and the world we live in....

Only really special ops that need to stay out of the news will ever touch things this advanced in the next 20 years.

Well yeah, I'm pretty sure they weren't designed with the standard infantry in mind, no disrespect to anyone who is currently serving or has served. I just don't see our government shelling out that much money unless it's already a crack black ops team. I wouldn't be surprised if they were made that there would be 100 or less total.

But yeah, the Land Warrior looks much more likely to be implemented into regular use.

Honestly, this is the future of warfare.

As for the future "crysis" suit, I think it's somewhat interesting but it's not going to stop a guided missile. Even if it was bulletproof, the user has absolutely no chance to survive the physical force of an explosive.

I don't really see that picture as the future, I mean, I'm pretty certain we're already using those drones. So more like the present.

And I'd be pretty depressed if any nation would resort to using missiles to stop infantry.

Now someone wanna rassle me up a portable power supply right here? I need to shoot me some aliens....

BTW, just so you know guys, Future Warrior 2020 is a fake image. The things that a future warrior 2020 could do are mostly done, but the image itself of FW2020 is not finalized. It was made as an idea of what someone thought it would look like.

Just like how Crytek made what they think will be what Future Warrior 2020 looks.

The pieces for future warrior 2020 are in place, but their busy making the land warrior and the prototype look for FW2020 hasn't been made yet.

Of course this is all incredibly costly, hardly any one would have acess to these suits and then maybe no one. If I am correct when the US military wanted a automatic rifle in the vietnam war they turned down the superior rifle made by Eugene Stoner for the M-16... It was because of cost, the military didnt want to spend more money so that the troops could have acess to a better weapon. I see landwarrior definatly being implemented throughout the military but this system I highly doubt it within our lifetimes, it is more practical to develop better robots such as the predator drone... At least that is my opinion.
