Sounds like the psu fried and the shock took your mobo out with it.

Id say start looking for your warrenty info, if you have it.

Thanks for all the input guys, but it turns out im retarded and forgot to put risers under the mobo and it was just short circuiting.... no one mention this ever again.

If the psu turns on for a moment and you can't get to the bios, sounds like a mobo problem to me.

I have done that silly stuff before. i had to reformat my
cpu and after i did i couldent get programs to work after redownloading them, including dod.
then i realized i had not redownloaded my xp omg i was relieved and mad.
i was just about to throw it out the door lol

Yeah 450 is weak... im running a 650 here and i think the reason why it shut off is because of energy consumption by other hardware... also when i was building my computer... i didnt install the processor fan on properly... the temperature kept rising and the computer kept on shutting off... try to check if ur fan is mounted properly..

your power supply is a lil bit too low there... get a higher one.... or maybe its the case itself.. maybe the power switch burned out
