Run down of the "best" css guns.

Today Im going to discuss the 4 best over all guns... *cough* especially at long range *cough*

Number 1. The UMP.
This gun is amazing at life. Short range? Check. Medium range? Double check. Long range? Dont question it.
This is the gun all pro's use. All you see in cal matches are this and auto shotties.
If this gun was a celebrity it would be Will Smith, thats how cool it is. When you buy this gun, people just die around you. Bullets seem to miss you, and people run in fear.

Number 2. p228 "compact"
Only the second longest range gun in the game! Scouts? Awps? Pshhh who needs them when you got a compact at your side. The deagle? dont make me laugh thats not a sidearm.

Number 3. Pump shotty.
Anyone can be good with a pump shotty, but where it really shines is long range. just go to long a in dust 2 with it, and watch the headshots start piling up.

Number 4. Five Seven
Everyone needs one, i mean if you are on CT, what over sidearm are you going to grab? Just make sure your ready to be accused of hacking, as you will own so much with this gun! 20 shots, that means 10 kills, cause this gun only needs 2, you heard me, 2 shots to the head to kill!

And I agree on the FiveseveN. Any noob can get a single headshot kill. Only a true master and sadist would shoot a guy in the head... TWICE.

I was seriously wondering how you are killing everyone with an ump, I rarely ever use the ump but after seeing you in action with it, I'm reconsidering. Deagle does not interest me anymore, 7 shot clip pssh... I'd go with a five seven any day. Campact is good but I still would pick a five seven over it.

the thing is with the ump, it shoots slowly, and is accurate... so you can aim for the neck, and not worry about the recoil THAT much... i think i have a .5 headshot ratio with it, what you wana do is jump with it, and spray in burst of 10 bullets, hide, and spray again

The funny thing is that the pump shotty does do a fairly good job of medium-range head shots. Back in the day when I punished myself by playing CS and pretending that I was decent at it, I used a pump shotty most of the time. I got pretty good with the aim and found that I could get medium range head shots often.

The long recycle time on shots helped ensure that I made every shot count and helped make me better with other weapons.

actually though the UMP is the most worthless weapon in CSS? Wrong its not, slowness = accuracy and plus its actually accurate.

Cheap, decent strength, decent accuracy, IMO its a good gun for price / performance. Sure the AK can headshot people with one shot to the head, but can you say "LOL you got UMP'ED?' when you kill someone No you cant so people who think its bad think "OMG hes hacking he killed me with an UMP"

Five-Seven, FTW. 20 Rounds is awesome, so while the guy with the deagle is reloading cause he missed all 7 shots you can spray and take youre sweet time killing them with your 5-7, and no need to reload after a while cause you could still have 11 rounds still in the clip.

Pump shotty - Walk around the corner and hear 'BOOM' cause thats all you'll hear because about one shot to the chest up close and youre dead.

Btw, no sarcasm Im serious about all of this cause experienced CSS players (like Oldie) know how to use those weapons and not go "ohhh that guns sucks *whine*"

I was about to say that things sure have changed since the days of the original CS (CS Classic?). I remember when they first added the UMP to the game. We were all excited thinking that a .45 fully automatic sub machine gun would rule. WRONG. Talk about a disappointment.

As for the pistols, I used to like the 5-7. As a CT I usually stuck with the USP due to the silencer, but the accuracy of the 5-7 was enough to attract me. It may take 2 hits to headshot somebody, but I rarely missed with it. Especially at long range. God, that's another weapon that I remember when it was introduced to the game. I think it may have been introduced at the same time as the USP, but I'm not sure. Either way, it's low recoil meant that it was very controllable and a "double tap" wasn't a big deal.

The only weapon that truly ever made me go "WTF" was the dual pistols, though. Talk about useless. The only benefit they had was that you could actually rebind your mouse wheel to the fire key, and thereby fire the guns faster than normal by rolling the mouse wheel instead of clicking Mouse1.

Man, now I want to go play some classic CS. I wonder if anybody still runs servers for that game.

Hahaha. Well, not having played CSS, I can't speak for their behavior there, but I did play with them when they were introduced to CS. The one thing I noticed was that neither one of them shot where your reticle was centered, but they instead shot alternately to the right and left. They were only useful within about a foot of your target, and then only because you could spit out bullets quite quickly.

But like I said, I have no idea how accurate they may or may not be in this current incarnation of CS.
