acctually the core i7 975 was "the fastest"* from May 31, 2009 to 3/16/10

but what you say is very true, the pc market does move fast

A big monitor is not needed, but a nice one is.
But usually nice and big go together, so yeah.
I also have a 24" monitor. :D

I have not and probably won't. I did look into it when I first got the CPU but decided I didn't want to risk missing up anything. Run's fine as is, but maybe in the future when its really needed I'll give it a try. :P

What res is the monitor?
It's 22", so I'll guess, 1680x1050?
