This article really really makes me about ready to click order. At stock, it's ok. Overclocked 700 on the core on up makes her a monster. With the voltage tweak, 800 is possible. @ 774 the bench shows it beatin up (not by much) a 5870 . Thats the one thing with these cards, overclocked they perform amazing. I would most definitely dedicate the 260 to physx and should be able to run a marathon. Or, i mite even just do the upgrade and sell the 260 , put a couple hundred on top and go for it.

ATI makes excellent cards, no doubt about it . Love em. Everyone has their preference and i've always been an Nvidia guy. Plus Radeon cards wont do me much good while Folding@home.

GPU3=radeon support aparently

I would sell the 260, and buy something like a 9800, or GTS 250 if you want to do that.

470 OCs are hit or miss

Some people say they can get 900core, while others cant get a 15MHz oc
 
Gigabyte is the main supported of the voltage tweak tool so i may end up with one of those though i only truly trust EVGA.

Plan... if it dont overclock well, sell it . Get another, if it dont budge, sell it and get another, etc.
 
Gigabyte is a fine brand.

eVGA has nothing going for them other than a nice name, and a good warranty.
 
Yes Gigabyte is an excellent brand, previously have only used there X58 boards, easy to use BIOS, tons of sweet features. Only bad thing is the infamous reboot loop lots of users experience though i have learned this is mostly an error on the users end and not the mobo. Out of 3 UD3R's, one went bad out of the blue and still have yet to RMA it. Just went to MC and got another , only this one was a rev. 1.6 as the other was a 1.0 .

ASUS boards are great too, using an H55 in the work rig - just dont like the BIOS .

Next build i am considering an eVGA board if everything works out right and give my current i7 build to pops or my brother ( i'd love to get my father on TF2 :-) . Going for an entire RED color scheme from the board, ram, fans, case, and LIQUID. Im sure to fry something. I have a pic on my notebook desktop of what just blew me away and when i seen it, i said i have to build it one way or another.

What exactly don't you like about them? Is it just for the H55 boards, or ASUS boards?
