5770's a great card, I gotz one on my new rig which is currently getting a new PSU, Sapphire too..

Too bad it runs like poo.

I found the problem;

1) I had HBAO on (major resource waste)
2) I was folding. (wasted CPU, and BC2 is very cpu intensive.)

Now with all the setting on max (but without HBAO, and AF only at 8x) it runs fine

My thoughts exactly.

I've been told a 5770 and BC2 don't get along too well.
seems fine now

I upgraded from Windows 3.1 to this awesome typewriter! It has the greatest game ever built in, ASCII-STRIKE:SOURCE!!!

In all seriousness my rig just fell through, it was high performance but i my room tends to get a bit hot in the summer, and my fan burnt out when i wasn't home so i couldn't save my poor baby. So i have this laptop....and that typewriter....well my typewriter is older but you get the point.

What, you didn't set up some fail safes for your computer?
If mine reaches a certain temp, it shuts itself down.
I believe it's 60C for the CPU, and 100C for the GPU.
