WOW. You can tell you listen to me a lot. That is basically my rig with a different case and motherboard. LOL. And monitor. But everything else is exactly the same. :lol:

Well, you might've forgotten but you gave me that build here. ;)

I was actually gonna get the same case but newegg had a sale and the K62 came out $10 cheaper so I figured why the hell not. The monitor's curious because I still haven't figured out how to get that stupid black border off the edge of the screen, but it's still twice as large as my old laptop so I don't care too much.

As for OC'ing, the ASUS program seems pretty straightforward and I'm gonna read the manual (rtfm inorite?).

Or go into CCC, and turn off any scaling options under Desktop Properies.

Lol. I said that's what you should aim for. Not exactly what you should get.

Whoa whoa whoa. OCing program? Do not use. The only way you should be OCing is in the BIOS.

Hmm... I think the only cable I got was VGA->HDMI. Or whatever that white one is called.

The white one is DVI. Why are you using VGA? DVI is much much better.

Oh, it works. You just didn't have to go 100% with what I said. :p
 
Okay, well then it's a DVI->HDMI. I just took the cord they gave me and plugged it in. Didn't ask any questions.

Oooooh and I can do benchies now that I'm not running on a laptop that might catch fire under stress. :D

I was bored plus I got hurt in Iraq and needed a hobbie.. So after spending 53 days in the hospital the first time the docs told me not to be doing anything that would stress my body to much so I got into computers.. I figure if your going to do something you might as well do it all the way..
