If you dont mind me asking what games do you play at 200-400fps
 
Yeah, I have a 6850 and used to play TF2 a lot and I would only get 200+ fps if I was the only person in the server. I mean, unless he's got a wicked CPU he forgot to mention that can keep up with TF2's sucky coding.

Surely you could try running some craptastic game like CS:S and get that easy. Well, if you bump up the cap. I mean compared to the Source games, BC2 takes up a LOT more resources.

I think you should get a few more upgrades, but not to the components.
You need better sound. Spending that much on everything else then skimping on sound isn't cool, man. Get some real speakers.
 
my costs for upgrades

500 € for a monitor perhaps
300 € for the speakers
100 € for the mouse
200 € for a SSD card

makes total of 1100 €; that's half of the original pc ...

His rig destroys anything intel offers.

The Pentium D 840 EE costs twice as much as this, and doesn't even come close!

I built this for under $300 and it plays Black Ops on med-high settings... not too shabby. 512MB of VRAM is more than enough for 720p (1360x768). I'm helping to save the Earth by not needing a high wattage PSU for the video card. You'd be surprised how well the old 9 series cards hold up over the years. Granted it doesn't support DX11 but oh well... can't have it all for $60.
