Check This Out Post Your Gaming Rig!

When i had my 1055T, i would use the first like 4 cores for games, and then set the affinity of everything else to the last 2, since like no games use more than 4 cores.

That is how i saw the advantage of X6.

then i sold it and bought an i5 hehehe

Yeah, I've been thinking about going intel..

At the current time, Intel really is the way to go. SB kills everything that AMD makes right now.

This will probably change when bulldozer shows up

Crappy webcam picture, ftw :P. Anyways, here you can see all the changes since my last post. I've installed the HR-02 passive heatsink, a second XFX 6850. I've also turned those top two fans around to intake and added dust filters. Dropped core temps ~5C as low estimate (changing ambient).

I've also done a little bit of cable management but I can NOT get that damn CPU 8-pin or mobo power cord to fit anywhere more convenient than that. Frustrating. I'm looking into getting two twin turbo pros for my 6850s just because I need it to be quieter. I'm also considering getting a fan controller and a TY-140 to mount inside the 5.25" drive bay. I kinda also want to change the stock case fans, but the ladyfriend likes the LEDs. Go figure, it makes it look shiny.

EDIT: Reflex, the lack of good CPU is what causes that board to fail :P. Kinda hard to get an i5+ to fit in there.

My god is that heatsink massive.

Get those TTPs, and enjoy silent and awesome coolers.

1. run the 8pin up on the left underneath the GPUs, there is a little cutout right to the left of the PCIe slot.

2. That spacing is fine for TTP's, the way the fan is designed, it can still draw air even if there is a card right below it.

3. 1090T fits in this board ;) (see what i did thar?)

Love that Heatsink.

You mean routing the cord from here:

Back around through this side?

The problem is I haven't been able to get the 8pin to fit through that hole right there. The way the back panel fits on, the hole is covered up. And the 8pin is too fat to squeeze between. It was hard enough getting the 3pin fan plugs through there.

rob, I also love this heatsink. It might not be the best, especially not price-performance, but it's just too awesome.

1090T isn't that great, mang. Still stuck with bk architecture. :P

You can get it to fit through that little gap above the motherboard. It just takes some man handling. I had (a smaller version of) that case, too. You just gotta work it.

Here's my setup:

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7-B3
Intel Core-i7 2600k @ 4.6gHz

2x Sapphire HD6970 2GB CrossfireX
Corsair TX850 850W PSU
Coolermaster Cosmos 1000 Full-tower Case
8x 120mm Fans
HDDs: 2x500GB 2x2TB 1x1TB 1x1.5TB

Interesting.... Well I'll work on that when I get home for summer. I'll have to take out the HR-02 to work that out.

Freaking sweet setup. I didn't know EVE could use all that ;). Also, why 16GB RAM? Just overkill or specific function?

Yeah. You have to do some weird things to get it to fit, but it will fit.

I originally had 8GB, as that's all I'll ever need. One of my friends also built a new PC, got 8GB of the exact same RAM (Black Friday on the egg), had weird compatibility issues. Sold it to me for $50. So I figured why the hell not.

I'll get around to it eventually.

Make a good investment (Bought a bunch of Ford stock for $1.67 :D), reap the benefits.
