AMD offers a 6 core processor cheaper than the most expensive Intel quad core. And a lot of the quad cores from AMD are cheaper than Intel. Hmm... <3 AMD.
True... For the most part... But for 250 or however much the 2500k is will beat any amd CPU to date... Can't beat intel performance

All liquid cooling provided by Koolance Systems. Koolance ERM-3K3U, CPU Block CPU-370, FM-16 Flow Meter, (3) 10 ohm temperature sensors, 10mm hose diameter and various compression fittings and nozzles. CPU monitoring and liquid entering and leaving the computer monitoring.
Soon to be arriving is the Sound Card. Possibly the Asus Xonar Xense and a 1600 watt battery backup system.
This build took me around 6 weeks to build. I went through (3) motherboards. The first mobo was D.O.A., the second had a bad dimm slot and broken dimm latch. Finally the third mobo works perfect so far. Accidently purchased SAS drives instead of SATA drives. RMA process took like forever. Soon I will be over-clocking my systems CPU to 5.0 ghz and my video cards to 900 - 950 mhz. These macro assignments on the keyboard, game pad and mouse are sure confusing. Mouse is a little too small for my hand. Might get a R.A.T. 7 or Logitech M700 next. I'll see if I can adapt to this mouse. I had G.Skill Ripjaws RAM but had bad RAM Stick as I thought and returned them to later find out that I had a bad dimm slot. I decided to try Mushkin RAM which got tremendous reviews, tight timings and there U.S. based. Great support. My CPU idles at 15 - 16 celcius or 57 degrees F. Haven't done any heavy oc'ing or gaming yet to see how high the temps will raise. I know I overkilled this system purchase like an idiot, but the damage is done. I should have waited a little longer to build an X79 system. But this should be good enough for my gaming pleasure.
On one of the case pictures it shows a little white sack in one of the hot swap cages on the bottom right. Its one of those silicone packs you find in packages to help absorb any moisture. I had the room and decided to throw one in my computer to keep things dry in the summer months with high humidity on the East Coast. I don't think it would hurt anything. And yes, under my desk front is a flea trap. My cat loves to bring them in from outside. LOL. As you can see he loves to eat and drink his water on my desk as I game. Sometimes he walks on my keyboard cause I don't pay attention to him while in game. LOL.
