I just built this one, about three days ago, so I'm pretty excited. It's not the highest end PC around, but it rocks TF2 at 60+fps with everything on high, at 1400x1050. Actually, I built it JUST for this game :)

Motherboard: Asus m2n-e nForce 570 (the northbridge gets WAY too hot)
Processor: AMD 6000+ @ 3.0 ghz
Memory: 2 gig G-Skill 800 mhz DDR2
HDD: 320gb SATA
Video Cards: 2 x EVGA 8600 gts 256mb in SLI
Sound Card: One slightly aged SB Audigy2
Monitor: 20" Samsung LCD with a crappy 8ms refresh (this is the next thing I replace)
KB/Mouse: My old rusty and trusty intellimouse explorer, and crappy keyboard
OS: I broke and dropped 90$ for Vista home OEM
Case: Cheap, but very nice mid-tower cooler-master
+ A 580 watt PSU, a bunch of fancy cables, and other crap.

/evil laugh
Its mine, all mine

Maybe I should post up the specs for my wife's computer. Not quite as good but she doesnt game alot, she does alot of piture and video editing type things. So I set hers up more for that kind of thing. Biggest differences between hers and mine are she has one 8800 GTS 640MB, she doesnt have the fast HD but instead 1.5 TB of HD space. She didnt get the super fast RAM, but still got 4gb of it. Where I got the Killer K1 nic card, she got a Soundblaster X-Fi Extreme. She got Vista Ultimate as well. Those are the biggest differences in hardware. There are small things like she has a saitek II keyboard, a logitech G-7 laser cordless mouse, some brand, which I dont know, lighted mouse pad, and a bunch of software for the things she likes to do.

Basically we got 2 computers that we knew we wouldnt have trouble running anything in the next couple years and wouldnt have to worry about upgrading. The only thing I may want/need to upgrade would be Windows, and thats only if games really get a graphical improvement in DX10. Which so far most of the improvements arent enough for me to want to upgrade to Vista.

Forgot to mention, both of us have liquid cooling as well.

[quote1192355447=RaiN]
Do you notice a difference with the killer nic?
[/quote1192355447]

I was skeptical when I was ordering the parts for my computer, But a buddy of mine swore by the card. He did warn me that I wouldnt see a decrease in ping, which I didnt, but that it would smooth out the game, even when I had a higher ping, which it has. I think it would be better on a lower end machine than what I am running, but I still notice that even when my ping is higher than normal, I dont have the jumpiness that you normally see with high pings. So while I dont understand everything about the Killer K1 nic card, I can say I have seen some improvement over not using. And I have used both it and the onboard that I have on this new computer.

Built this one myself
Cost around 820 bucks

Gigabyte 570 sli mobo
AMD 64 x2 4200+
2gigs of crucial high end gaming memory with heat spreaders running in dual channel
Rosewill case with matching sli ready psu 550w
basic microsoft keyboard and mouse
old 15 inch microtech lcd monitor
and a pair of 8600gts's 512mem

For 800 bucks this is one hell of a good system, I am very proud of it.
