Considering I've aquired all of this for under.. $500/600s... it isn't too bad.

Really under 600 dollars.!!! I have a stinking Dell XPS 410 but i changed some stuff around like the processor and ram. I'm thinking about building my own pc for like 2 years later. Gotta save up some cash. Gonna go work at the commissary!!

Well since my father owns a computer store deals come and go... one time we paid maybe.. $100 and got a Radeon 9800... Radeon 9250... and a 19" LCD that I'm currently using.

Deals like that come and go alot so... I kinda scrap up the good stuff as I go. All my PC parts are new ... just the 5.1 Surround Sound and LCD and XP I probably all got for free. And no... I didn't hack Windows XP. My father and I sold a IBM to a Linux user and he was a friend of mine so he just let us have the XP Pro sticker.

Built this one myself 2 months ago. So far it's rock solid and omg is it fast! ;)

I'm just copying some of this from my newegg invoice.

Monitor, kbd, mouse, sound card, and speakers.
LG L226WTY-BF Black 22" 2ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor
Logitech Z-5500 505 Watts 5.1 Speaker (These are so awesome!)

Creative 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty champion Series
Razer Lachesis mouse, I use a logitech MX revolution too.
Razer Barracuda 5.1 Headset. I usually use my black siberia's though because the surround is a pain to hook and unhook, and they don't have a mic :(

The guts and case:
Thermaltake Armor Series VA8003BWS Black Full Tower Case w/ 25CM Fan
Thermaltake CL-P0401 110mm Full-Range Fan CPU Cooler
Thermaltake W0116RU Complies with ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V version 750W Power Supply (modular)

LITE-ON 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model LH-20A1L-06
SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model SH-S203N
And it's running Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit.

I think that's it! It cost me about $3000 all together but it runs everything I have at full settings and doesn't even sweat, and i get a 5.9 Vista experience rating with it. It runs at about 25 degrees C under a load on air too!

I want to get another 250Gb drive to run raid 0 with. Maybe after xmas ;)

And yes, my desk is a mess lol!
