All this talk of nVIDIA cards. Where's my ATI buddies?? Even though I have no beef against nVIDIA (my hp laptop runs a 265MG GeForce 7600 with 2GB of RAM).

I know people have SLI comps but does anyone else run Crossfire or am I the only one?

nice set up dua|ilty
good ol 360 ftw
with xbox live that setup pwns though comp is a little old but still runs dods great so who cares btw good job at keeping ur comp area clean i wish i could say the same for mine ... i wish i had xbox live ... i wish i had faster than 56k modem connection in my town. 42 inch nice

Not really.... nVidia always try to release crap early in developement... IE DX10 ready cards before any GPU intensive DX10 only games were released. The new ATI sucks balls right now... but thats expected... its new. We'll just have to wait and see who's on the top. If ATI can fix alot of the crap and get it running smoother and with less problems than the 8800's really soon then ATI will have the market. :) nVidia are just product whores, smart whores. :( ATI actually give a rats butthole about their products... nVidia just like quantity not quality. So, it depends on alot of things to decide who is leading the market. :(

morbid if ati gave a crap about their products... they wouldn't release anything untill they made proper drivers. I owned an ATI card for about 2 days, and returned it the day I installed catalyst for the third time. They can't produce the software to let any of us use their hardware. Nvidia, on the other hand, has allways had happy drivers, my Nvidia cards allways work well, and OC nicely.

lol, i was about to get that Zalman 120 cpu fan, but i went with the Thermaltake BLue Orb II 120

Well they can't actually make proper drivers without having them tested in mass. Simply because they have to make sure it works for ALL people... which is really hard to do with a testing lab and a certain amount of computers with certain amount of specs. Its just not done. nVidia has never made proper drivers.... 8800's sucked ass the first they came out also... My brother is still pissed that he bought one. lol

Edit: And yeah ATI's software does suck..... hopefully with AMD and ATI as a combined entity this might change. :)

hmmmm this might surprise most of you guys... but I indeed play on a iMac thanks to some good ol' Bootcamp. i run all my vid settings on high and still get crisp, smooth, vid lag free performance when running DoD :D with mid to slightly high FPS.

here are my iMac's specs:

20 inch screen
Processor: 2ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
RAM: 2gb
Video Card: ATI Radeon x1600 w/ 236 VRAM
Hard Drive: 250gb

i think i can safely say i'm the only one here that plays DoD on a mac haha.
