Does DOD:S need a Phaser?

The Enterprise goes back in time to WWII. In a violation of the Prime Directive Kirk beams down to the Axis side and Mr. Spock beams down to the Allied side to try and make peace in a total violation of the Prime Directive. Scotty is supposed to beam down a feast for both sides but being totally drunk accidentally beams down 2 Phasers to each side. Kirk and Spock beam up not knowing and return to their timeline.
