Well its Hurricane season again and you know what that means....Hurricanes. I've been tracking this large storm forming in the Caribbean lately. Its not a tropical depression yet but it is estimated to turn into a Category 4 Hurricane when it reaches the shores of East Florida around Wednesday of next week( Cat4 hurricanes spell bad news). I will keep you guys updated. Know your hurricane routes on the highways so you can flee the storm if needed. Please be safe. Check the storm satellite image below.

This has been a public service announcement.
I might have to flee Cape Canaveral if this becomes a problem. Going West.

Good luck guys, i hope it doesnt steer toward Maryland and the East Coast. Once again, good luck.

Psh. I'll be outside camping.

I have been through so many hurricanes, one is just like the next.

Do you work for the NWS fox? Wondering if this is a hobby of yours or part of your 9-5?

Whoo...A cat4? Thats like 100+ mph? Good thing I'm in the west, though Californians have to worry about earthquakes.

earth quakes are a joke. i live in socal and the last one(like 2 weeks ago) gave me a much need massage! i woke up to my bed shacking back and forth from side to side like 5 or 6 onches. i actaully smiled and enjoyed it :)

I work for nasa so yes its my 9-5 job.

Update: Tropical Storm Fay Projected path now shows it is going to hit the West coast of Florida by 2pm Tuesday and Wednesday. Guess that's relief for the East coast of Florida.

I actually enjoy hurricanes (atcually Tropical Storms, rather). Would never hurt to get a little rain, but of course, all the disaster we can obviously can do without. I'm in the central part of central florida, probably the hilliest part of the peninsula.

Update on Hurricane Fay. It will hit the west coast of Florida on Tuesday and Wednesday, so far it has maximum winds of 50mph and will be a Category 1 when it hits florida. It shouldn't be a problem for winds but the rainfall probabilities of about 10 inches, it can cause major flooding in low lying areas.

I hope it doesn't get stronger, since its out in the open water.

Good luck to all my fellow Floridians.

Tropical Storm Fay

I am in Boca Raton Florida which is 10 minutes north of Ft. Lauderdale. They have already closed school down for Monday and Tuesday. I hope it stays small and that no one is hurt.

All it is is just a bunch of water and some wind.. Bring it on man! (btw foxtrot, I live in Melbourne and work in Indian Harbour Beach...)

Nifty. From what it looks like, there's quite a few of us around here in Florida.. Perhaps we can have a 32 man lan party somewhere for some tf2 action? :D
