Natascha - The end-all scout killer.

I was hoping for a powered-up Sasha with less ammo, but this is great. Less firepower, but no more annoying fleeing cowards.

Thoughts?

Hopefully it will be less of a trade off and more win, cause the melee sucks and the secondary.... well lets just hope its not a damn sandwich.

We cant speak too soon, we dont know how effective slowing will be.

Well according to someone on the steampowered forums, who has been spot on so far, the new miniguns speed decrease on hit is 50%. Thats a pretty big slow down on whoever it hits.

And since he has been right so far, the secondary, as has been posted in our forums already, is a Sandwich which is basically a mini health pack the heavy carries around. It will, according to the guys post, give a 100 HP heal.

I heard also that the slow down will be "momentary".
So this draws the question: How long will the slowdown last for?

my guess (and this probably depends on the heavy) is just a few moments .. probably till death or so =P

Curse you, don't ruin it :P

But really it better have some more interesting function than just heal 100hp cause thats what medics are for.

The whole point of a sandwich is so the heavy isnt too medic dependent?

Method 1: Use natascha, slown down enemy, kill with KGB, go on a 3 second natascha crit spree. If hurt, eat sandwich.
Method 2: Use natascha with kritzkrieg. Painful.

If you think about it, the heavy is now extremelly overpowered.

i think its gonna balance like the medi gun. no invinciblility but all crits . This is gonna be less powerful but more effective to hold some one in a corner or slow them down so u really cant be to sure

Yeah well, lets hope it will be really awesome because i cant wait for it to come out i am going to stay up as long as i can.

Well some kritskreig love would be nice but I think the slow down is a terribad idea. For those that do have CS:S remember how you used to play on a WC:3 mod server and somebody played a class with slowdown.Remember how muched it sucked? With the slow the heavy and effectively go against multiple players now :( which makes it even more harder to kill him.But this new weapon is on a much even playing field now since it requires the heavy to think, since his long range damage is questionable wouldn't -25% damage be even worse?

well, its good to see that there are not only offensive responses about natasha, but if you compare, 50% slowdown is superb! the speed of sniper who has is zoomed-in is 27% compared to medic, therefore it immobilazes them, and others will be slowed down grately, just imagine a pyro counting on speed to run up and burn you, he wont make it to you:D

1. Yes I know the rumor says 50% slower but I don't think it will be that strong. Maybe 20% or 25%.

2. 27% - 50 = -23% / immobilazed...That's stupid. I think the speed is cut in half: zoomed in Sniper, slowed down = 13,5%. That's why I don't think it'll be 50%. A scout would only have 65,5%, that's slower than a heavy.

It also seems like noone will actually use Natascha in pubs. Everyone is whining about it at the moment.

If you really want to make him medic independent give him hp Regen or an aura to attract players, by giving them a bonus and using them as cover/meat shields. Now this isn't going to happen in TF2, but what I'm trying to say is that a mere sandwich healing 100hp isn't going to cut medic dependence, what you need is like a but load of pizzas, 3 toppings. (that just made me hungry :P )
