The Karabiner 98k is one of my favored rifles when I go out to a range. It has good accuracy, a solid design and it is easy to maintain. The biggest drawback is the weight, but you grow accustom to it.

Ach! I forgot to add this to my list: It ain't pretty, but it gets the job done.

What I wouldn't do to add one of these to my WW2 collection. I already got a browning Machine gun (With a bullet crate), a Thompson and a navy gas mask. Obviously I don't use any of them. The gasmask and the machine gun belonged to me great grandfather. He never used them, but he got them because he worked as a mechanic in the war. In fact, at least according to him, he worked on the Enola Gay before its flight. I got the Thompson from a collectors shop, had to get a license and a parental permission form though. It's not like I ever plan to shoot it... but it looks nice in my little museum down stairs.
