deviant art is all you need, the only plugins i use are Luce and Topaz

I recently recieved cs3 from a very good friend of mine, and I find that
www.deviantart.com
is a great place to get brushes, templates, graphics and all that kind of stuff.

Please don't talk about this kind of stuff-- not only is it morally and legally wrong, but it's also just annoying, obnoxious, and disgraceful. If you're going to get a program with the amount of brilliance, creativity, and hard work like Photoshop, you should just BUY the program-- therefore supporting the people who made it to make more/better programs.

That's only if you truly believe that money should fuel creative people to create a program for creative enthusiasts.
I personally find it morally wrong to charge anyone $500+ for an APPLICATION.
A non-physical program[aside from the sheet of plastic it's burned on to] that only exists if a computer is there to run it.
I thank photoshop for forcing me to get smart and find ways to get it for free.
It is knowledge that has remained with me to this day.
The easy way out is also the ridiculous way out, and that means shelling out a fortune for a program that's going to let you get your creative ideas out on a virtual medium.
That is just wrong because it instantly separates the rich from the not so rich, and really, money should never be an issue when it comes to art [WTF????]
In my honest opinion it's more annoying for anyone living in this day of internet and computers to ask such a simple question.
"Where can I find this [computer related something]?"
What you need to do is experiment with the internet.
The beauty of it is that most things [apps, music, movies, etc] in some type of digital form are SOMEWHERE on the net, free of charge.
It's just a matter of looking hard enough.
When you take the time to discover, the benefits will come down on you three fold.
So what you should take from this is that you should reallllly learn to use the internet.
And don't let society's silly games and ideals and rules keep you from doing what you WANT to do.

While you do make good points about putting a price tag on the availability of creativity, I must disagree with your point of view.
First of all, Photoshop's target audience is professional graphics designers or photographers who need such a powerful application for their career. It's not intended for every teenager with a computer to have and mess around with.
I own a legitimate copy of Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Not CS3, CS2, or even CS1. 7.0. Why is this? Because I at one point was seriously considering a career in graphics design, and I had used Photoshop 2.0 (which my father had purchased many years ago). My copy of 7.0 is only a year and a half old, because older versions of a program tend to be cheaper than the newest ones. The absolute latest version isn't something entitled to everyone at their whim.
Also, there are free alternatives, such as GIMP, available for people. Free open-source software is great for that reason.
However, I do believe that propriety software such as Photoshop, 3DS Max, etc. does have a place in the world, and they shouldn't be free because the amount of effort put into the programs are worth a great deal. They need compensation for the hours of work put in year-round, and people who demand it to be free need to realize that computers are like any other medium; would you expect to go to a carpenter and get furniture for free? I don't think so.

deviantart.com is a great place, as people have said. Not to self-promote or anything, but I have an account on there: dragonfire3k3.deviantart.com, and I have some photoshop brushes available for download (version 7 and above).
