Makin mod

I have always wanted to make i mod but that envolves making models and maps. Can anyone help me, maybe starting with models or characters. Maybe i should start with cs characters?

Take a look at the popular Warcraft CS mods. Before you start on creating one entirely on your own, perhaps you can tweak that one first. See how it is set up, make some changes of your own, and get a feel for the class balance before you go ahead making your own.

I couldnt wait for Left for Dead in November so i made a left 4 dead mod with hl2 graphics and models but didnt finish due to school starting
