Video Card BIOS

Hello, after installing my new video card (Geforce 8500GT) a while ago.. there's a BIOS that comes up for it every time I turn on my PC.

It's a black screen that has some text like the chipset manufacturer (Nvidia) and card model (8500GT), etc.

Is there anyway to disable this BIOS? I never had it come up with my old (now dead) video card.

hmm...i think videocards only have drivers
what your getting might be coming from a program

Many graphics cards do that these days. Typically it only shows for around 1-3 seconds. To my knowledge, there isn't a way to disable it.

that's strange because i have that graphics card and i do not get a bios on startup for it.
