And future updates for Scout, and Spy will be buffs like Medic and Pyro. I dunno what they'll do for Sniper and Engineer. (Although I'm guessing sniper will be halfway between heavy and pyro, he'll be given a way to fight at close range and that's about it)

From the looks of the first 3 unlocks, the final game will have everyone on near equal ground.

It seems Valve is buffing the weaker players while just giving the tougher players silly alternate weapons.

I hope they give some good guns for the other players. I think the scout update will get stronger weapons. I cant wait for more updates.

One update for a "tougher" class and you have determined that the remaining "tougher" classes will get silly updates?? Yeah, I'm sure your right, especially since you didn't jump to any conclusions in your rock solid analysis of the TF2 updates...

I really hope that spy upates come next. They're getting to be too weak against the rest of the classes, especially now with the Pyros and Heavies.

Spy is not nerfed. however, he is beginning to show his weaknesses, simply due to the amount of power given to the pyros and the heavy, and even the medic. With the ubersaw, you only have to hit the spy once to figure out if he's a spy or not, because he fills you meter either way. Pyros can now light you up at a distance, and heavies... well, they can... slow you down?

I think, honestly, that yes, the updates will follow mostly the same formula. they did an offensive class, then support, then defense... one can only think they will do the same thing twice more.

My predicted order : soldier, sniper, demoman, scout, spy, engineer.

Why is this jumping to conclusion? If they add more power to soldier or demoman (Or sniper, beyond close combat), they may as well add the AWP to TF2.

These updates are balanced. This thread assumes that will stay the case.

Wouldn't it actually be Support, Offense, then Defensive (Medic, Pyro, Heavy)? Which would make either spy or sniper next.

I'm not saying the soldier and demo will have silly new toys, I was really refering to the sandvich, but honestly the heavy didn't get buffed, he just has new ways to live.

I suppose the one true buff here are the KGBs, but if your trying to fight in melee a 350 lb tall guy, you're gonna get owned to begin with.

If they don't buff spy and scout, they may as well take them out because scout won't be played at all, and spy will be annoying.

Spy and scout are far from useless.

And the most unbalancing thing they can do would be to give the scout a higher damage weapon. Just because there are lots of terrible scouts out there doesn't mean that a good scout still won't kick your butt.

You are correct.

Updated order:

sniper, soldier, demoman, spy, scout, engineer.

This is the order. I have decreed it.

Right, good scouts will. Hell, I'm one of them ;). Also a good/decent spy.

The point isn't a good or bad spy/scout. The point is people playing them, which is the entire reason why they'd be buffed.

Valve wants to make money. How will they if they make the scout/spy unlocks and no one plays?

You hafta keep in mind, crappy players need a reason to play too. If the other classes dominate, the crappy players will pick them.

The reason these updates have been so popular is each one helps the classes in some way and makes them more useful.

That right there is the reason why their will be buffs.

And no, you don't have to come in explaining how good you are, or how well a spy/scout can kick someone's butt. The point of my saying this is, guess what, this game is made for more then great players. It's made for all players, including crappy ones.

It'll probably be scout. If you look at playtime, the least played classes were the next up for update.

When they first did this, medic was least played.
Then pyro.
Now heavy.

Scout will probably be next. Unless all the good spies go nuts from all the gunfire.

I don't know. Spy is my second class, and this Heavy update has been great for stabbity business. Everyone is playing as Heavies, and they stay in groups facing the front, generally. That means a 3-Heavy stabbing streak.

...

Slit. Backstab.

Ya, like I said, it'll probably be scout. Valve has to make money, these updates aren't for pro players (Some are though), their really to get people to buy the game, and make harder classes easier to play.

Before the updates:

Heavy was a sitting duck with no medic.
Pyro was Kenny.
Medic healed...

Now:
Medic can kill almost anyone with blutsaugher.
Pyro is best CQC player.
Heavy can survive without medic.

The soldier and demoman can really take of themselves, not only would a big soldier or demoman buff be pretty useless, but imagine the crying on tf2 forums if their was such a thing for either class?

If you've been a member of a TF2 forum for awhile, it should become quite obvious if those two's unlocks are a big buff, people would just up and quit tf2, something counter-productive to these updates.

In fact, if you've paid attention to Valve's comments about the demoman being 'a little out of whack', but their not going to change anything, it would become perfectly clear their planning on making every class pretty much equal in terms of survivibility.

With all this said though, small buffs, like the heavy sandwich, could help a soldier, esp. if the small updates are a better gun then the shotgun...

Of course, keep in mind, I AM jumping to conclusions, but only because of how the updates have been made.

Valve COULD decide to make the demoman run around with just a bottle, give a scout a gauss gun, and make the soldier run with scissors.

I'm not really expecting that scenario myself ;)

I only wonder what the engie and sniper gets. if the engie gets a faster way to build sg, that may be kinda bs.
