lag problem?

when i play counterstrike,i have this lag problem i guess.like sometimes i lag for 2 seconds.and other times i jsut lag and my comp freezes.i dont know if its lag or jsut computer problems though.but this only happens when i play counterstrike.
any way to fix it???

Well you can tell if it's your connection or your computer by going into console and typing net_graph 3

then when you start lagging look if your ping is high or if your fps is low.

If your fps is low then it's your computer, but if your ping is high then there's nothing you can do about that execpt buy a better connection.
