gcf problems

i am just trying to learn to reskin and am not sure were to find the gcf files. ive watched tutorials and in my materials/models/v.models folder i cant find any gcf files. i have all custom skins but in my colt file for instance theirs no gcf files. please help. thanks

go to c:>program files>steam>steamapps
