heey maybe a good idea a CSS clan gave me, The Muppets,
they have admin skins and things like that,
maybe we should have skins to for every members with the name and rank on the back of ur character that would be like AMAZING!, or only for the admins, or i dunno xD

Greeting Shoarmaman

The thing about the idea is that

1) Someone has to go and MAKE the skins
2) It would make many people try to get Admin just for the cool skins
3) It would be server side instead of client side, which is slightly harder to implement, and may or may not cause lag
4) While Rank is possible, I wouldn't like to make skins for people who only play on our servers once, join the clan, and never return. Wasted effort, you know?
5) People can change ranks. It would take a long time to constantly make and remake skins.
6) It might ruin the feel of the game if you saw a guy with an admin hat running around everywhere.

In short, if someone really wanted to make the skins for everyone and take the time out of their day to create the skins for our hundreds of members, then I would be fine with it.

agreed, it would take a LONGGG TIME

One World Syndicate used to do this and I thought they did it well. I said maybe since it depends on the implementation.

I think you guys are missing the point, dont make a skin for each person... make a generic skin for all eGO admins. For instance there are server side mods that if you have admin capabilities you are given the option to use an admin specific skin that is the same for all admins.

Like a standard Allied skin but w/ =(eGO)= patch on the back.

It would only take 1 person to make 2 skins (1 allied and 1 axis) and the server to have users download 2 small files. Then once an eGO admin joins a team they would be prompted w/ an option to enable or disable admin skin. I've seen it done on many servers in other source games and is far more simple than what you are considering.

!o! I knew that. I just meant it has to be done right. The Syndicate only added =OWS= on the back of the helmets in white. They used a font that looked stenciled on. It looked kewl and wasn't out of place. You could probably add a SKIN option under Admin. If I remember correctly they only had to turn it on once and it stayed.

However, then they went nuts and anyone could add any of the MANY non-admin skins. You had Russians and US Airborne fighting Kreigsmarine and Japanese. Very Three Stooges.

Duality does understand me though, but this is DoD section only, so it was ment for DoD, it would be cooler if everybody had his name, but for admin only would be great to or for every rank like: Axis and Allies for all =(e)=, =(eG)= and =(eGO)=, atleast YES! i would love it, come out positive :P

haa no fighter, admins dont give extra points, only when their high rank, im higher rank then many admins

Every time I put my crosshairs on one of my team members it tells me their name. Since eGO members preface their name with =(eGO)=, =(eG)=, and =(e)= we already have the info available to us. Why slow the servers down with special skin? Love the skin you're in.

or it could simply be a universal eGO logo or something for all members just to show who is and who isnt :D

I agree but the only thing I dont like is just giving them to admins because then people yeah would just try to become admin for that. Also if we do this we should make it eGO on the back and your rank on your shoulder. For all members even e's

I think it's a neat idea, but I dunno how practical. I definitely think individual members is a bit much. However, I could see maybe 5 for each rank and pubs. Pubs would get maybe like some kind of stripe. e's and up would have the =(eGO)=? on the helmet then a different stripe based upon whether or not they are e, eG, or eGO. I dunno though, that's thirty skins to make/edit. Plus then you'd have to implement it on the servers to recognize who's a pub, who's a member, and who's what rank, then comes the problem of when people get updated/join and having to update what kind of skin they're allowed to use. Plus with the skins server side, it might take a little longer for a player to get in game and it might start creating a little lag. I know even after I suped up my graphics card, while I was using custom skins on TF2 I would still lag. Once I reformatted at one point and I was using default skins, it ran very smoothly.

I think it's a neat idea, but I don't see it happening from a practical standpoint.

Doing the helmets I think you would only have two skins to edit.

I think this is an awesome idea. I do agree with alot of the cons you are saying, but if someone would make them i think we have something great on our hands.

Steiner.

haha twisty they will see, how would i know that they use it smart ass, and no its not muppets skin, it just says admin all over the character ;), please think a lil logical
