Warhammer Online

I probably wont be playing but I can't believe we don't have a sub-forum for other games. You know un-official guild stuff for guys to trade info.

Quicker next time!

JK Thanks.

PS Post some pics once someone gets the beta.

I have it on preorder but I haven't decided if I will be playing. It depends on how demanding school and work become this semester.

I know its not a big deal but i figured if we could get a group of GAMERS together it would make the game more fun : /

I've pre-ordered CE long time ago, did get into the "Preview" weekend but the game still feels extremely unfinished imo. It also kind of looked worse than WoW to me and the movements felt extremely awkward. I don't think the graphics were my computers fault I have 9800 GTX and 8800 GT on another and they both kind of well, wasn't pretty.

I'll be playing the Witch Elf classes but I'm not sure if this game will have a hold on me like WoW did.

I would've taken screenies of the closed beta, but I'd forgotten at the time. As it stands now, I didn't transfer my account over quick enough, so I don't have access to the test realms, so I'm locked out until open beta.

However, despite what Not-z said, WAR has come a long way pretty fast, and as far as things stand now, it's a pretty good game. They need to iron out bugs, but that's what the period between now and open beta is for. If you'd seen the change from closed beta to preview weekend, you would have been pretty surprised.

Also, the "bad" graphics are because they take up so much space. The full game is going to be 15gb, and the version that people were playing was 9gb. A lot of the missing data was textures and lighting effects. Expect a lot more when the game comes out. They just wanted to be able to give us all the game for the gameplay.

I must say, as a two year + player of WoW, the games play similarly, but the classes in WAR are all vastly more interesting. On top of this fact, I feel like I always have something to do in the game, and some pretty nice looking graphics. (When you get to the higher level stuff, everything starts becoming really impressive.)

Over all, I must say that I think WAR could easily be more fun than WoW. (In my opinion, obviously.)

Il be checking back here alot, but when server names are released i will ask which ones you guys like.

It looks like Order is the order of the day. Suits me fine as I've been playing a Dwarf Engie and have been having a blast in the closed beta. Tell me what server you all are going on and my sentries are all yours.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnERs5A6R9Y[/ame] Check out this Zealot vid. The player isn't necessarily the greatest, but it's a nice video. Gives you an idea of the pacing in WAR.

Also - That's a healing class, for those who don't know.

(Make sure to watch the vid in high quality, so you can see things.)

The game looks really good, and if it wasn't pay to play at the same cost as WoW then I'd have considerred being a swordmaster.

:( I'm going to have to change my vote to order :(. I still want to be destruction, but all my real life friends are going order.

I will be playing destruction when the servers go live. I will be playing with friends that I have been playing MMO's with for 3-6 years (Both the other [Pew] guys and more that don't play FPS's). I'm not sure what server we'll be playing but maybe we'll run across each other on the battlefield. I'll be sure to taunt your corpses! :D

I'm more than willing to spend money on MMOs. Sure, it decreases the overall amount of games I can buy... but it gives me a constant and (usually) continually accessible source of entertainment. Not to mention the fact that some companies apply patches the size of expansions, and even if they don't, I don't mind paying $30 for hundreds of hours of more play time.

However, BlackCat has a point. We could easily set up a Destro / Order divison. However, seeing as most people want to go Order, we should probably establish that first, so that we're not all split up from the beginning. After that's all set up, we could go about making a Destro sister-guild or something.

Hm....sounds good. We should start to make some headway on our "Guild"
