Saw the weirdest thing

On the map Strand: before I started lagging out every 6 seconds, I was shot with a garand, twice, and died, the freezecam focussed above me on the guy who killed me... He was just below the few steps that goes into the main bunker that overlooks the beach, and I was below him under the bunker... and he shot another person through the wall from the same spot, right after me...

I was all =o WALLHACKER! Then he did it again, I spec'd him, he sat in the same spot, wallhacking clear as day, but he had a thompson... and got kills, well that can't be right, a thompson can't shoot through the thick concrete walls

Turns out I saw him there, all the time, from the time he spawned, to the time he died, and again, even though he really wasn't there at all... and this lead to me being shot by him a few times, while he was standing right in front of me... invisible.. since his body was elsewhere on the map.. a quick Reconnection fixed it, but that was Weird

Something like this happened to me.

On strand map, I was on the german team with the sniper and was guarding the field 88 gun right in the top corner near the stone, and some guy shot me with a garand from the boat on the beach and manage to head shot me.

I watched him in spec for a bit and he was just laid there on beach shooting random stuff and spinning around, He didn't do much more after that except just spin around.

You can thank Palermo update for this glitch. Hopefully steam will patch the update before Christmas

This is an issue with the Orange Box engine; similar glitches occur in TF2. The best way to avoid it is to not alt-tab out of game, as that is what causes most of the problems.

Thanks for the tip, although I usually don't alt tab out unless I have to, Never seen it in TF2 before, and was the first time I've seen it at all, then again the last time I played DoD:S was in March or there about

yes another one of those infamous alt-tab glitches. it's lame i know.

i think somewhere in the forums is a thread telling you a comand you can do to stop it.

but i'm not 100 percent

edit: it's helpful to bind it, so whenever you see it acting up (including the crawl glitch, just hit the bind)
