Official Left 4 Dead Discussion. Decided to make this since i am sure i am not the only one that is so hyped for this epic game.





So... to start off I has a question, does anyone have a video of the boss zombie gameplay? I have only seen survivors. Also, for all of you wondering what happens if you go afk to take a leak or something..... there is a button you can press that enables a bot take over for you until you get back xD

Yeah that would be stink, zombie raids while afk, but thats why theres the checkpoint room, no zombies can go inside, ammo there, just hope you can find it when in need of bathroom break.

Also The Friendly Fire Is Gonna Be Annoying
There Will A Lot OF Text Saying Who Shoot Who If Your A Trigger Happy Team
Example:
Player 1 Attacked Player 3
Player 2 Attacked Player 3
Player 3 Attacked Player 1
Player 4 Attacked Player 3

good thing the penatly for FF is low

I believe I read that it automatically takes control of your character if you go idle, so you wouldn't need to remember to enable that.

I hope they port the improvements to the Source Engine over to the rest of their games. They said they were going to update their games, perhaps they are just waiting for Left 4 Dead before they do it (Day of Defeat: Source is the only one updated so far).

I have no doubt it will be available from Steam on day 1, seeing as it is made by Valve (and Turtle Rock Studios, acquired by Valve in January and no longer operating under that name). Who knows, they may even release it as a beta to early purchasers, as they did with TF2.

Can't wait to play it. Just hope that the co-op player is good. Resident Evil: Outbreak was HORRIBLE for that experience.

I am waiting for this game both on PC and 360. I have alot of friends I got hooked on getting the game for the 360. On PC ill buy the game physically and register it with steam. So if i ever lose the disc I can redownload whenever I want. I like how in multiplayer you will not be able to know who the human player is on the zombie team. Plus it being a source game you know there will be alot of maps and mods in the making. Look where Zombie Panic source got to during their time of development.

It's a Valve title, so you won't have any choice about registering it with Steam anyway, it will be required. I'll get it whichever way is cheaper.

Hey guys, hate to break this to ya, but I just found out via G4 TV that Left 4 Dead will be delayed until Nov 20 (the 10th anniversary of the original Half Life game). I wonder if Valve will do anything special in honor of its 10 year anniversary.
