Mods are like political issues. No matter how good a mod or well intended the issue some people are going to hate it no matter what. So.... chose your MODs carefully.

As long as you have any source based game installed as well as Source SDK installed under your tools, you'er good to go when it's released.

If I just have DoD:S on my CPU does that come with Source SDK?

I was actually just gonna post a new thread about this, but I guess you beat me. I am really exited about the release of this mod this weekend!! I've been asking around the servers, but nobody seems to know anything about the mod. I've also been spray painting the Insurgency logo various places around the =(e)= servers

About the SDK thing. I'm pretty sure that when I installed the Counterstrike: Source Anthology ( which comes with DoD ), it didn't come with the SDK tools, although I could be mistaken. When I recently bought and installed Half Life 2, I think is when I got them

Yo, just make your steam window full screen and click the tools tab. Under there you should see Source SDK Base. Just DL that and that's all you need. (Thats when people are saying on the website) www.insmod.net

I believe that owning Day of Defeat source makes us all elligible to get the Insurgency Mod. Check the screenshot I've attached from the DoD page on steam. It clearly states it comes with Source SDK.

I can't wait to be able to get this. I'm going to love playing it with my friend when he gets DoD:S. He came back from Iraq about a year ago. Sadly he got a little "addicted" to the...patrolling...for lack of a better word...and now desperately wants to go back for more action. I'm hoping that this will satisfy his needs

Later tonite or early tommorrow morning Im told by my brother. He says they just added 2 more maps, so 7 total and are uploading it to download servers now!!!!



oh and BH, you can dl all of your hl2 files on your steam account, thats the glory of it, once you make the account, you don't need the cd's.

So I've read about it, some people who have played it. Mixed feelings, some say it wasn't all that great as it was advertised to be.

I think you'd have to be a fool to draw a hard opinion on the game at this early stage. It's not like a demo where it's a little sample of the actual game, this is still deep in the midst of development. I would wait at least until the first RC to decide whether or not it's a worthwhile venture.
