How did you know about Edgegamers™ Organization?

a) A friend invited me

Best friend round the corner from me was an eGO and told me how great eGo was, loved the idea and love the community.

I picked a, b, and d. I hope that's allowed. lol

I found the servers by luck when I first installed the game and played on the 2fort server. I just picked it because it had a lot of people on it. I didn't know what the map was or anything about it. Then, after playing for a while a fellow 'e' said I should join!

After my old clan disbanded, I started looking around for clans that supported TF2. I went on Xfire and looked up the top clans playing Team Fortress 2. I think there were 2 or 3 others on the first search.
The first one I looked at looked promising, but I couldn't figure out how to navigate their site for the life of me. The second one I looked at was Edge Gamers Organization. My first thought was "Hey, thats a pretty cool name!"
I found the site (this was back on the old site) easy to navigate and I liked the look of it. So I signed up and posted a recruitment application in "Sixxgun's Recruitment Office!"
I was surprised to find about 5-10 minutes later I was accepted. I was like "Wow! These guys are quick!"I didn't even log on then because I was going to hang out with some friends.
A few hours later, I got home and decided I would check out the Ventrilo server. When I logged on, I was pulled into the Meeting Room and sat through it for a while till it ended. I was like "Woah! This is run pretty professionally!"

Now I'm beginning to ramble on and reminisce so I'll stop :D
The point is, I loved Edge Gamers since the moment I discovered them!

Pure luck for me. I first picked an eGO server because it had a low ping. I enjoyed playing on the server so much that I came back and played a couple more times before I was recruited.

Actually, the element of luck is amplified even more when you consider the fact that my DSL modem at home is kind of wacky. When I do the full server poll, the first several hundred servers come back with legitimate pings, then my DSL modem gets overloaded with the ping responses, reboots, and I have to wait a couple of minutes before it settles back down. Oh, and the pings on the servers that don't report back before the modem dies are atrocious. So, it really was luck.

Its nice hearing stories of how people found EdgeGamers.

We have a lot of wonderful people here at EdgeGamers, and i wouldn't know why anyone would want to screw up their chance here, or even quit EdgeGamers.

Everyone here makes EdgeGamers run smoothly, it takes a community to keep the servers ranks high. Pat your self on the back for having top rated servers and being part of the one of the best gaming communities around.

Lets keep the heart of EdgeGamers alive, and get some more talented people.

I used to play on random servers. One day I was looking to join a clan. I was originall going to join Lotus, but I wasn't too thrilled with their group tbh. Then I stumbled upon eGO and I decided, yes, that's who I'll join.

And a good decision it was. =)

I've played on the servers before, but I wasn't looking for clans to join at that time.

was playing in donner back a year and like 3 months and toothpaste aquafresh and striekr asked me to join after i played there for a month.

I was playing TF2 as a test with a friend, who afterwards said that I should get TF2.
After a long and dubious time I got around to buying it and decided to join the same clan as my friend as it had a website and was full of both mature players, and people!

It started on maybe the 3rd day after i purchased TF2. I played in a few pub servers and decided to settle down into a clan. some clans were too small. some were just not for me. i found the warpath server and started my adventure there.

back when we had convoy, I had played on it and an admin (forget who) invited me to join with edge gamers. i was browsing servers at the time and it was just complete luck that I joined :)

I am glad i did join though

b)
c)
d)

were all my answers :)

this is my story

well, it all started when i bought the css/dod/hl2dm package this from walmart, i was playing dod, waiting for people to get into the server that i was a regular on, and chose a random server which happened to be eGO 24/7 ava so i played there, kept coming back every so often and eventually started to play on strand server, then became a regular on strand, then i got orange box from my friend for Christmas, installed tf2, joined a random server, which happened to be the eGO 24/7 2fort, played there for about a week then joined the clan

I just got the game(tf2), so i ordered the servers in biggest to smallest, eGO was one of the most full(2fort), so i went there said somthing mean to a guy...got warned. And i liked how the servers were run so i eventally joined :D

I was in a few other clans, and even while I was in them, I played on the servers. I finally decided that the clan I was in was not right for me (even after 2 years of playing with them) and all they had was a 24/7 2fort server. I could not stand only playing 2fort for 8 hours a day. I decided that the eGO servers were more populated, more active, and just more fun.

While in the other clans I noticed that some of my friends started to join the Edge. (Capt. Goomba and InductedStorm) soooo..I followed them kinda.

a) A friend invited me

I moved to a new city. Got a new house, and had DSL installed. I fired up TF2 to test my ping/latency and the top 3 servers were all eGO. I hung out and Garden promoted me :) (I wonder if he regrets that now . . . hehe).

6.

PS - I call that luck.

I was looking 4 a TF2 clan and my friend (current member Darth) told me about the community and how friendly all the ppl were and i thought I'll join :)

JohnT contacted me several times back during the Kettle merge to see if I was interested.

My choices:

B)Random server browsing
C)Recruiter approached me

While randomly looking for a server to play on (my favorite 2fort server at the time was full), I stumbled upon our 24/7 Dustbowl server, and started to play. I liked the server, and played there for a few more weeks. Then, I got invited to join, and the rest...is history.

I had played in the servers for awhile (mainly 2fort), and really liked how they were ran. I was approached by Ninjafluff, and he asked me to join. I couldn't refuse :).
