Best Utility Player?

There are tons of players who are just "jacks of all trades".
You know.... king of none.

There is nothing wrong with that.

Me, I typically play everything except sniper...

I am horrible at sniping :P

You know, I think I'm going to have to agree with people on Jehuty. I thought for a long time he was only good as a spy. Then, I was playing dustbowl with him, and he sniped me a good three or four times before I decided to backstab him.

So now I know that he's a decent spy AND sniper. understandable. However, he was my medic at one time when I was demo, and we did a lot of damage. The following day I got gunned down by Heavy-Jehuty.

I've never really seen him as a soldier, demo, pyro, engie, or scout.

Anyhow, I would say he is the best overall.

I'm horrible at all the classes. So, I'll place a vote for myself as Worst Utility Player. :D

i play alot of heavy madic and im awsome at sniper i can kill any i repeat ANY moving boject

In all honesty being a medic doesn't take too much.

But - I'm a good sniper and fairly good demoman and soldier. Heavy doesn't take the brightest person alive.

Spy, only on badwater.

oooh !! mmmeeeee!!!!!!!

I can play (in this order of efficientness)
Spy
Soldier
Engi/Medic (Equal in skill)
Demo/Heavy
Sniper
And never scout

Well Spy for me is my best class, then soldier, demoman, scout, heavy, and engineer. I can play those classes pretty well. But I don't really like Medic or sniper.

i personally think it takes more to be a decent medic than it does to be a decent engi. tho ive seen some stupid engi's in my day. also there is the fact you can hurt the team by being engi where you cant really do that as medic.

(if your wondering what i mean by hurting the team as engi ill give an example)
yesterday at 2fort we were doing an excellent job of keeping the enemy from pushing into our base as well as getting our team into theirs. then a few people decided that this effort would be better if we had 5-6 engi's instead of 2-3 that we had guarding the base. so they take their engi's and go offensively and start building on the bridge. well with the sniper boom recently happening we have 2-3 snipers like 6 engi's which leaves relatively little else to push into their base. also the other team was being dominated by this tactic for a very short moment but they got smart and came up behind us through the sewer. my sg was the only defense from that and i couldnt stop a spy heavy medic and demo. so now the defense inside the base is whiped out and the offensive engi's arent paying attention to chat (as ive noticed a lot of people have this problem) and the team comes up behind them too takes everything out and now we have an open base and half a team dead ( not instant spawn btw) i guess the moral of my story is dont corner the enemy team too hard? lol and too many engi's makes a good defense till they are broken through(and it will happen at least on 2fort)

I've never seen jehuty play anything other then spy, heavy, and sniper so I wouldn't say he's the best until I've seen him play others. We definitely have a bunch of players who are pretty talented on all classes.
We've talked about this before but some classes compliment others. So if your good at one then your probably pretty talented at the other.
Lastly, I'm not going to toot my own horn like everyone else, so I can't choose the best overall is.

umm ok medic kinda is hard wrk u gotta find the best spot to be in cover then ur heavy or wat ever u have can walk out into open firew then u even have to walk with him trying to find hidding spots while walking so u dont die so being a medic kinda is hard wrk so just stfu ok dood

Calm down dude. We don't wanna start any fights here.

Jehuty gets my vote now, saw him playing almost every class today on Warpath and did an excellent job at each.

Well setting up on the bridge is easy, but snipers on the enemy battlements can easily take down all of it if they have the right angle.

But you're right, too many engi's = fail.

And being an engineer isn't that hard in the first place :P. So you're right about the medic being harder to use than the engi.

ill play anything and everything only problem is im no good at engie spy or sniper, as for the medic, it can be a hard thing to do, at least being a GOOD medic is hard, your a main target by most intelegent players and spies just love to back stab you, you have to watch your groups back, and it takes skill to keep 2-3 people alive wile advanceing. Checking for peoples hp to see if they need healing with out them yelling at you takes work as well, figureing out who needs to be healed and who dosnt can take some thinking as well. And having to watch people to figure out who is worth ubering is also a task that is required by good medics, and buffing a groups hp to help them out can be tasking work as well

but just being a medic is simple, point and click heal the people who want your healing or just heal the heavy like some medics do, but as with all classes being the class is simple but to do really well with it, you need to do alot of extra work

depends on what your looking for in a player, aggressive or defensive type. also depends on the current specific class to class setup of the opposing team, as well as your own.
since i do not know many people yet id have to say that i am extremely effective with playing active defense, any class except spy (to impatient :)).
when it comes to offense i tend to putz around killing everything in sight. (anyone else hate to die? hehe) It's a good thing in non-instant respawn servers, while not so great in insta-respawn.
Have to say I am a proficient player all around for I played competitively (online ladders, matches etc) for a while when the game first came out.

IMO - all depends on what type of player is needed for the specific situation, classes are all timing.
